Rinku started his domestic cricket career by representing Uttar Pradesh. On 5th March 2014, at the age of 16 he made his List A debut against Vidarbha for Uttar Pradesh. In that match Rinku scored 83 runs off 87 balls.
Rinku made his first-class debut against Punjab in November 2016. In his debut match he scored his maiden half century in the first innings of the match.
Rinku was the leading run-scorer for his team in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy session. In that session he scored with 953 runs in ten matches with four centuries.
