Who is Rishabh Pant?
Rishabh Pant is an young Indian Wicket keeper & left handed middle order batter. He is one of the best wicket keeper batter of India in the post MS Dhoni era.
Early Life
Rishabh was born on October 4, 1997 in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. He started playing cricket at the age 12, under guidance of Tarak Sinha.

Domestic Career
- Pant made his First Class debut in 2015 Ranji Trophy season. He did not perform well in his debut season. But in the next season he surprised everyone by scoring a triple century against Maharashtra.
- In that match scoring 308 runs off 326 balls he becomes fourth youngest cricketer after legendary Javed Mianead, Wasim Jaffer & Abhinav Mukund to score a triple century in a first class game.

- A few days later, he scored a 48-ball hundred against Jharkhand. In that game he scored century in two innings of the match and hit a total of 21 sixes.
- At the start of 2017, Rishabh was appointed as the captain of the Delhi team for Vijay Hazare Trophy.
- Next year, in Sayed Mustak Ali Trophy he scored a 32-ball century for Delhi against Himachal Pradesh. Which is the second fastest T20 century after Chris Gayle.

IPL Career
- His aggressive batting style was slowly making him popular. At that time Delhi Daredevils bought him for IPL 2016. He could not do justice to his talent except for a few matches in his first two seasons of IPL.
- Pant scored 128 runs off 63 balls against Sarrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018.
- He was selected as the captain of Delhi Capitals in the 2022 IPL.

Test Career
- Against England in 2018 Pant made his test debut. He opened his account of his Test career by hitting a six, which is truly a unique record.
- In the 5th Test of that series he scored his first hundred in Test cricket and becomes the first Indian Wicket keeper to score a century against England in England.
- In that innings he scored 114 runs off 146 balls and was dismissed by Adil Rashid.
- After a few months, the Indian team went to play in Australia. In the first Test of that series, Panth took eleven catches, the most by an Indian wicketkeeper in a match.
- He scored his second century against Australia in the 4th match of the series in Sydney. In that innings he scored 159 runs off 189 balls and becomes the first Indian Wicket keeper to score a century against Australia in Australia.
- He was dropped from the Indian Test team due to continuous poor performances after his spectacular rise in Test cricket.
- In the 2020-21 tour of Australia, after a humiliating loss in the first Test in Adelaide, Rishabh was brought back to the Test team.
- In that series he played two extraordinary innings, which helped India to win the series unexpectedly. His match-winning knock of 89 not out in the last Test in Gabba created a stir around the Cricket fraternity.
- A few months after that, he again scored a century against South Africa in South Africa.

T20I & ODI Career
- Pant made his T20l debut against England in T2017. He played his first ODI against the West Indies in the following year.
- He also played for India in T20I and ODI World Cup. But till now he is not as successful in the shorter format of the game as he is in Tests.
